Robbery Bob

My last project was revisiting Robbery Bob, and this time I was asked to work as art director. I had a lot of fun working with the others in my new role, and trying to get the game's visuals more consistent overall across comics, in-game art, and marketing.

Acting as art director I wanted to make the new logo familiar so the millions of players that have tried out Robbery Bob would recognize it, while improving on it and make it fit Robbery Bob 3.

One thing that Level Eight had always wished for but never had the time to was to create emoted character portraits in dialogue.
It was a fun challenge trying to standardize and push the expressions to make them fun, recognizable characters.

The 'Dealer' was present in Robbery Bob 1, and for this game we wanted to bring him back. This shaded style was abandoned in favor of the comic style to remain consistent and faster to work with.

We were working on a new chapter for Robbery Bob 3, but the management wanted us to focus on the first chapter so it was laid on ice. This is concept for a protagonist that Bob would help out.
